Welcome to the new hub of my theological ponderings. All relevant content from CJaK’s fOrEsT and CJaK’s PoDcAsT will eventually find it’s way here. Until then, feel free to have a look at the page on Theocracy, which sets up the main basis behind what I have began to term “Theocratic Christianity”, boiled down into three statements, Evangelism, Community, and Theocracy. This begins a separation from the usage of CJaKfOrEsT online, as my main handle used. The history of the name was simply a typo whilst creating a gaming handle, and since then, it has been the “name that wasn’t taken”, which sets up the main basis behind what I have began to term “Theocratic Christianity”, boiled down into three statements, Evangelism, Community, and Theocracy. Theocratic Christianity is being set up at an epochal time in my personal walk with God. Over nearly a half a decade the Lord has impressed upon me the importance of Biblical theology, which minimal influence from extra-biblical sources. This has led to my distilling down my core belief system to the above three statements. And so began with a search for a proper means of
Evangelism, which goes beyond a mere “increase of church membership”, to a focus on “regeneration” leading to “many sons being brought to glory”. After much searching, I discovered the true Biblical Gospel, and after a long period of isolation, due to misunderstandings, I found like-minded people, who were involved in open air preaching.
Then I began to realise the importance of Christian Community, which goes beyond the kind of fellowship defined by and arms length association, once or twice a week. Through a course of events, I left the established Church and associated myself with believers who met in houses, around a meal table, sharing communion from a common cup. Again there was isolation, as these meeting were monthly affairs, with little opportunity to expand. And then over the past months, I have had the opportunity to begin a fellowship, in my own home that has the potential to see the kind of community form of which I have dreamed.
And now, the issue of Theocracy. As I have delved into the kinds of “mystical” theologies characterised by the likes of Norman Grubb, Major Ian Thomas, Watchman Nee, Oswald Chambers and Dan Stone. Theologies given names like the “Deeper Life”, “Exchanged Life”, “Union Life”, “Christ in Us”, “Christ as Us”, but probably best put by Nee as “the Normal Christian Life“. Once again came misunderstanding, and isolation. There was always only one person around who was even aware of it, and often it was merely theory. Apart from that there were many discussion that began with fascination, and ended in near accusations of heresy. As I have focused more on more on the idea of God’s rule being expressed through a spontaneity of life, lived by Christ through us, and as us, the closer I have come to seeing it in practical reality.
And now, I find myself in the presence of others who not only know about these things as theory, but also live in them as life expression. I look forward to seeing what will come of all this, and this site will be merely a piece of the puzzle, but nevertheless and important global expression, in hope of seeing the Church become liberated from a mere “going through the motions” into truly being the “Light unto the world”.
And so I invite you the watch this space, as it begins to be filled…
